    World War II postcard produced as German propaganda and acquired by H. Arnold Strauch while serving with the United States Army in Europe during World War II. He enlisted at the age of 18 in the United States Army 343rd Infantry Regiment and served as a light mortar crewman in the central Europe and Pacific theaters.

    Biography
    Howard Arnold Strauch was born on September 13, 1925, in Watertown, New York. He enlisted on September 7, 1943, at the age of 18, in the United States Army. He was in the 343rd Infantry Regiment and served as a light mortar crewman in the central Europe and Pacific theaters. Strauch received the American Campaign Medal, Pacific Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal as decorations for his service. He was honorably discharged from the Army on April 5, 1946, in Fort Dix, New Jersey.
