Benno Rothenberg family papers

Contains identity certificates and other documents pertaining to the immigration of Benno Rothenberg, Ingeborg Rothenberg, and Marion Rothenberg (donor's father, donor, donor's sister), September 1938, from Munich, Germany. Includes a Polish passport issued to the family, containing various visas for Germany, Holland, France, Belgium, Switzerland, and USA; an identity certifcate containing various visas for Switzerland, Spain, USA, and France; a proof of familial status (Familienstandszeugnis) stating that Benno Rothenberg, a businessman, born 10 September 1904 in Munich, is the son of Isidor Nathan Rothenberg and Franziska neè Feniger-Lindenbaum; a document excusing the recipient from military service because of health reasons; and various other identity documents. Also includes materials related to Benno Rothenberg's work as a taxi driver in New York City after immigration.
