Murray Goldblatt was U.S. soldier who served during World War II in Belgium, France, Czechoslovakia and Germany from 1943 to 1945, most likely with the 15th Finance Corps. Born in Brooklyn to a Jewish family, Murray worked in the family's hardware store before enlisting with the Army on January 23, 1943. After his release on December 27, 1945, Murray returned to New York and later settled in Princeton, NJ with longtime partner Jim Kane. He was an accountant by profession and active in GPP (Gay People of Princeton). Murray rarely spoke of his experiences during World War II even though he documented his travels on five reels of film with his personal movie camera.

- In 1998, Murray Goldblatt entrusted his war films to Robert Gatarz, a close friend who had convinced him to show the movies at a social club event and document them in writing. Gatarz maintained the films until 2017 when he was cast in a new feature made by Infinity 9 Films, a Hagerstown, MD-based production company. Together they donated Goldblatt's amateur films to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in May 2017.

Murray Goldblatt, a Jewish American soldier, documented his experiences during World War II in Belgium, France, Czechoslovakia and Germany from 1943 to 1945 with his personal movie camera. The collection consists of an hour of 16mm film (the original 5 reels - approximately 100ft in length - were spliced together in the late 1990s by a friend and film collector).
