    Biography
    Rudolf Mayer (1903-1962) was born in Vienna as a son of Gustav Mayer, a pioneer of Austrian film newsreels. Rudolf's brother, Adolf “Adi” Mayer, who took over his father's business, renaming the company in 1938 to “Adi Mayer’s Filmbüro” (advertising and culture films). Adolf also worked as a cameraman for the “Deutsche Wochenschau”. The company remains family property and is today (2015) Austria’s biggest advertising film producer. [According to adimayerfilm.at ].

    Rudolf Mayer donated the original film to the Austrian Film Museum and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum received a digital copy in 2012 as part of the Ephemeral Films Project.
