The collection documents the Rosenthal family, who lived in Limburg, Germany until their immigration to Southern Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) in 1938, and primarily regard Bernhard Rosenthal and his children Inge Rosenthal (Iater Inge Glass) and Walter Rosenthal. Papers of Bernhard include a document attesting that he is a member of the Jewish religious community of Hadamar, and a parole card and permanent residence permit, both issued in Southern Rhodesia. Documents of Inge consist of birth and vaccination certificates. There is also a school transfer document issued to Walter while still in Germany, and a tea party invitation sponsored by the Salisbury Women’s Zionist League.
