- The collection consists of memoirs written by donors' father Mitchell Borke (born Mieszlaw Borkowski), as well as photographic material, documents, correspondence, handwritten notes and clippings. The collection also includes a packet of dye carried by Mitchell Borke's aunt, Runia, when she left Warsaw, Poland, for Chicago, Illinois, in 1934.

- The collection was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2024 by Susan and Louise Borke, daughters of Mitchell Borke.
