    Collection Summary
    The collection consists of memoirs written by donors' father Mitchell Borke (born Mieszlaw Borkowski), as well as photographic material, documents, correspondence, handwritten notes and clippings. The collection also includes a packet of dye carried by Mitchell Borke's aunt, Runia, when she left Warsaw, Poland, for Chicago, Illinois, in 1934.
    Provenance
    The collection was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2024 by Susan and Louise Borke, daughters of Mitchell Borke.
