    Brief Narrative
    The Honor Cross of the World War 1914/1918 non-combatant service buttonhole ribbon bar is part of a collection that consists of documents, correspondence, photographs, identification cards, passports, additional artifacts, and military booklets illustrating the experiences of the extended Cohn and Falkenstein families in Germany and La Paz, Bolivia in the late 1930s. Also included is information about Friedrich Cohn and Inge Falkenstein, the donor's parents, who met and married in Bolivia.

    Physical Description
    Ribbon bar with a gold colored cross pattée soldered to a narrow metal band with a circular metal button soldered to the back. The band is wrapped around the midpoint of two stacked, bow shaped ribbons. Both ribbons have 7 horizontal stripes: faded central red flanked by black and white stripes and narrow black edges.
