    Interview Summary
    The interviews describe Ms. Kentriene's childhood in Lithuania, the anti-Semitism she experienced; the good relationships she and her family had with non-Jewish Lithuanians; the impact of the Soviet occupation on the Jewish community and her experiences at the beginning of the German occupation; her escape from the ghetto at Varniai, the assistance she received from Christian Lithuanians; her experiences while living in hiding and under a false name; her life in Lithuania after the war; her marriage to a non-Jewish Russian man; and the impact of the end of Communism in Lithuania, including the increased anti-Semitism.
