    Interview Summary
    Rivka Sigal discusses her childhood in Vienna, Austria; her family's moves between Vienna and Chernovitz, Romania (now Chernivtsi, Ukraine), where her father had a factory; her childhood illness and education; her family settling in Chernovitz and the difficulties her family experienced under Soviet rule; her father's awareness of the dangers to Jews in Europe; the family's immigration to Palestine in 1939; her education in Palestine; and her eventual immigration to the United States.
