    Judith Szpiro discusses her childhood in Lodz, Poland; the changes she experienced after the Germans occupied the region; the creation of the ghetto in 1940; the conditions in the ghetto and her experiences there; her deportation to Auschwitz in 1944; her experiences there; her transfer to Bergen-Belsen and Flossenburg, and the work she performed; her immigration to Israel in 1947; her move with her family to the United States in 1960; her life in the US; and the fates of other members of her family.
