    Interview Summary
    The interview describes Ms. Krantz's childhood in Berlin, Germany, her experiences with antisemitism after the Nazi party rose to power, and her family's decision to leave Germany after the events of Kristallnacht in November 1938. Ms. Krantz describes her family's voyage by ship to Portugal in early 1939, their brief stay there, and their arrival in United States. She discusses her life in the United States, her two marriages and her daughters.
