    Lizzie Weiss, born June 1, 1904 in Berlin, Germany, discusses her youth in Berlin; her education in a public school; the work she performed as a legal secretary; the changes she experienced after 1933; the loss of her job at a German film company; her decision to go into hiding; her experiences in hiding; the help she received; her memories of the air raids; being arrested in the spring of 1944; being deported to Auschwitz and her experiences there; her experiences on a death march to Ravensbrück in January 1945; her transfer to Mecklenburg, a subcamp of Ravensbrück; her liberation there; her return to Berlin after the war ended; her immigration to the United States in 1947; her marriage in 1952; her life in the US; and the fates of other family members.
