    Interview Summary
    Peter Weiss, April 28, 1928 in Vienna, Austria, discusses his childhood in Vienna; his memories of the changes that occurred after the Anschluss in March 1938; the events of Kristallnacht in November 1938, including this arrest of his father; leaving with his sister for England on a Kindertransport at the end of 1938; living with a family until his parents arrived in England in August 1939; their voyage to the United States in February 1940; settling in San Francisco, CA; enlisting in the United States Army in 1945; and his life and career in San Francisco after his military service.
