Thaddeus Taube, born April 1, 1931 in Kraków, Poland, discusses his childhood in Torun, Poland; his family's move to Warsaw, Poland in 1937; his education in a Catholic school; his parents' decision to remain in the United States during a business trip; his journey in early 1939 with an uncle through Poland, Germany, and France before boarding a ship for New York; and his reunion with his parents in the US.
