    Anne Atik, born in Mandatory Palestine to an Orthodox family, discusses growing up in New York; studying literature and Hebrew; meeting and marrying the painter and art historian Avigdor Arikha in Paris, France in the 1950s; publishing poems and translating American and Israeli literature; associating with Alberto Giacometti, Samuel Beckett, Alix de Rothschild, Balthus, Paul Celan, Henri Cartier-Bresson, and Simone Breton-Collinet; and creating an association dedicated to the dissemination of her husband’s work.

    Isabelle Pleskoff, head librarian at the Musée d'art et d'histoire du judaïsme (Mahj), donated video recordings of Holocaust presentations and interviews produced by the Mahj to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in October 2015. The interview was conducted on February 8, 2015 and the original French title is "Poète écrivain et femme de peintre avec Anne Atik."
