Lily Tokarski, born in September 1941 in Krakow, Poland, describes how as a baby she was hidden in Plaszow; her parents being able to get her to safety with a friend, a woman named Julia Pamula; her parents surviving Auschwitz-Birkenau; reuniting with her parents after the war; living in a displaced persons camp in Germany from 1945 to 1947; moving to Montreal; the Canadian government welcoming tailors like her father; staying in Canada until 1955; and her family moving in September 1955 to California.
