Cvijeta Knežević, born in 1932 in Duvno in the former Yugoslavia, describes her background and the beginning of the war; her forced conversion to Catholicism; her father's flight from the village; the massacre of Serbian civilians in Duvno in 1942 by Ustaše forces, including details of the attack; escaping from the Duvno to Ravno; Italian forces burning Ravno; staying with a family in Vukovsko; the Ustaše committing arson and a massacre of the civilians of Vukovsko; her escape from Vukovsko; joining the Partisans; acts of terror committed by Ustaše forces; and caring for children in the Trešnjevka children's camp.
