    Physical Description
Postage stamp made of paper, rectangular in shape with scalloped edges and approximately 1 1/16 inches (2.6 cm) tall by 7/8 in (2.2 cm) wide in size. An inked rectangle with white image and inscription is found on one side. The ink is red in color and the inked rectangle is smaller in size than the paper itself leaving an ink free boarder around the edge. Within a scroll along the top of the image is “REICHS POST”. At the bottom of the image “PE” is found in both corners and within the ends of a scroll. The bottom scroll’s path is interrupted by the number “10” which is not in the scroll but between the two scroll sections. At the center of the image is a depiction of an eagle with wings spread and facing left. The eagle is contained within a circle. Ornate floral details are found both inside and around the circle. On top of the red image is an additional black ink stamp which extends past the area of the postage stamp on the left, right, and bottom edges. The visible portions of the black ink stamp include two concentric circles crossed by a horizontal rectangular section. The top and bottom sections of the smaller inner circle not covered by the horizontal section are decorated with vertical lines. The numbers “29.1.94.1-2” are stamped within the horizontal section. Above the smaller circle and within the larger outer circle “LEIPZIG” is stamped. Adhesive is found on the other side. The image from the other side is faintly seen in reverse on adhesive side.
