    Esther Praw (née Mandelzys), born in Opatów, Poland, discusses the beginning of the war; fleeing Opatów with friends and staying in Starachowice, Poland; working in an ammunition factory in Starachowice before being transported to Auschwitz; being sent to Bergen-Belsen before finally being liberated by British troops; getting married to her first husband in Germany in 1946; moving with her husband to the United States in 1947; living in New York before settling in Detroit, MI; having two daughters before her husband died; and remarrying another survivor.
