    Interview Summary
    A Ukrainian woman born in 1928 discusses events in Grimailiv (Hrymaĭliv), Ternopil's'ka Oblast, Ukraine; the prewar presence of many Jews and a synagogue; the arrival of German forces and the immediate shooting of many Jews; details of the shooting, which was carried out by German personnel after the victims were marched into a nearby lake; the transfer of the remaining Jews to a ghetto in Skalat, Ukraine; and the temporary refuge given by her father to two Jews who hid in family's barn but who were later asked to leave because of fears of German reprisal.
