Oral history interview with Yahad-In Unum interviewee 794U

A Ukrainian woman born in 1927 discusses events in Grimailiv (Grymayliv), Ternopil's'ka Oblast, Ukraine; the prewar presence of many Jews who were largely involved in commerce; the religious nature of most Jews who had non-Jews light stoves and lights on the Sabbath; observing from a distance the shooting of hundreds of Jews at the river; reports that Ukrainians were among those doing the shooting; the transfer of the remaining Jews to the Skalat ghetto; and witnessing the humiliation and maltreatment of an old Jew at a public water pump.
