    Interview Summary
    A Belarusian woman, born in 1924, discusses her experiences in Polatsk (Vitebsk Oblast), Belarus before and during WWII; the Jews in Polatsk before the war; the occupation of Vitebsk Oblast by the Germans; the bombings; the nearby prison camps; hearing the prisoners of war (POWs) screaming during the winter because it was cold in the camps; the mass murders; moving from Polatsk to a village; and the temporary liberation of the area by partisans.
