    Interview Summary
    A Russian woman, born in 1928, discusses her experiences in Salsk (Rostov Oblast), Russia before and during WWII; life on the kolkhoz; the arrival of refugees who were fleeing the Nazis; the German occupation; Nazis searching each house, seeking Soviet soldiers and demanding food; the town Novosalsk; finding a soldier near her house whom she fed and his death later on; a prison camp for POWs; locals being permitted to give the POWs food; and the shooting of Jews, Romanies, and communists.
