    A Ukrainian woman, born in 1928, discusses her experiences in Bokove (Odessa Oblast), Ukraine before and during WWII; life on the kolkhoz; the Romanian and German occupations of Odessa Oblast; a local Jewish family, the Gromatski family, one of whom committed suicide; life under the Romanian occupation and then the German occupation; the attempts made by locals to save Jews; Jews being detained in stables; and the violence against Jews.
