    Interview Summary
    Tatiana Tsiklopulo, born in 1915 in Ukraine, discusses Jews going into hiding during the German occupation; the impossibility of escape from the police if one was caught hiding Jews; the local administration which reported the hiding places of Jews; seeing the bodies of Jews who had been hanged; hiding Jews in her home; Jews who were killed or arrested by members of the police; an attempt by police to kill her; visiting the ghetto to provide money to people who had been arrested; the appearance of Jews in the ghetto; and acquiring passes for some Jews so that they could escape the ghetto and hide in her home.

    This is a witness interview of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's Perpetrators, Collaborators, and Witnesses: The Jeff and Toby Herr Testimony Initiative, a multi-year project to record the testimonies of non-Jewish witnesses to the Holocaust. The interview was directed and supervised by Nathan Beyrak. The interview was received by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives Branch in March 2006.
