    Biography
The Katz Ehrenthal Collection is a collection of more than 900 objects depicting Jews and antisemitic and anti-Jewish propaganda from the medieval to the modern era, in Europe, Russia, and the United States. The collection was amassed by Peter Ehrenthal, a Romanian Holocaust survivor, to document the pervasive history of anti-Jewish hatred in Western art, politics and popular culture. It includes crude folk art as well as pieces created by Europe's finest craftsmen, prints and periodical illustrations, posters, paintings, decorative art, and toys and everyday household items decorated with depictions of stereotypical Jewish figures.

    Physical Description
Handcolored satirical cartoon print of an etching of a street scene with a gentleman on the right wearing a white wig standing in left profile behind the barred gate of a building. He gestures as he speaks to another wigged gentleman in right profile standing opposite him in the street. Behind him, a crowd in ragged clothing with blue ribbons on their hats stand in right profile holding papers toward the gentlemen. Right of center, a small man holds a horn and newspaper beside a portly man in a green suit. To the left, 3 soldiers in red coats and tall black hats stand in front of an aproned man holding shoes, a rotund woman with a yellow headscarf, and a woman in a straw hat. A Jewish man with fleshy lips and a hooked nose reaches over the women. Behind him are 2 men: a dark skinned African and a sailor holding a club. The crowd becomes indistinct as it extends into the background. English text is printed across the bottom and on the papers and hats. There are handwritten markings on the back.
