    The Katz Ehrenthal Collection is a collection of more than 900 objects depicting Jews and antisemitic and anti-Jewish propaganda from the medieval to the modern era, in Europe, Russia, and the United States. The collection was amassed by Peter Ehrenthal, a Romanian Holocaust survivor, to document the pervasive history of anti-Jewish hatred in Western art, politics and popular culture. It includes crude folk art as well as pieces created by Europe's finest craftsmen, prints and periodical illustrations, posters, paintings, decorative art, and toys and everyday household items decorated with depictions of stereotypical Jewish figures.

    Physical Description
    Double sided, black ink illustration on paper removed from a publication. One side has a cartoon of a black, spurred boot below a striped pant leg with a round man in right profile kneeling on the ground before it. His hooded eyes look up as his hairy hands grip the toe and his thick lips kiss it. He has a mustache and a fleshy face with stereotypical Jewish features: bushy eyebrows, a large nose, and a curled sidelock. He wears a tall hat with 3 diagonal downward arrows below the baggy crown and dress attire. German text is printed above and below the image. The back page has part of a German story about a shipwrecked man’s return and a cartoon of a man in a boat. The edges are taped.
