Rebound version of a 1750 proclamation regulating the movements and activities of Jewish money dealers who exchanged foreign currency in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The government was acting on reports of Jewish money changers clipping the gold and altering the weight and value of the currency, thereby creating inflation. This bound volume is one of more than 900 items in the Katz Ehrenthal Collection of antisemitic visual materials.
