    Biography
The Katz Ehrenthal Collection is a collection of more than 900 objects depicting Jews and antisemitic and anti-Jewish propaganda from the medieval to the modern era, in Europe, Russia, and the United States. The collection was amassed by Peter Ehrenthal, a Romanian Holocaust survivor, to document the pervasive history of anti-Jewish hatred in Western art, politics and popular culture. It includes crude folk art as well as pieces created by Europe's finest craftsmen, prints and periodical illustrations, posters, paintings, decorative art, and toys and everyday household items decorated with depictions of stereotypical Jewish figures.

    Physical Description
Postcard with a color cartoon of a man standing on a stoop in front of an open door marked PLEDGE OFFICE. He wears a green striped shirt with a brown vest, checked pants, and red shoes. He faces the viewer, arms outstretched with open palms. He has stereotypical Jewish features: slicked down, curly black hair, beady eyes under dark wavy brows, an overlarge nose, with a large cigar pressed between his thick, red lips. A 3 orb pawnbroker symbol hnags above the door and there is a Poppin’s Court sign on the building. A small boy in shorts and a checked cap hiding behind the corner in an alley on the right calls to him. The red brick alley wall in plastered with posters. English text is at the bottom and on the back.
