A Belarusian woman, born in 1925, discusses her experiences in Turets (Grodno Oblast), Belarus before and during WWII; life before the war; the beginning of the war; details on Jewish life in Turets, including occupations and family names; the hiding of Jews during the pogroms; the relocation of the Jews to a ghetto; the German occupation; several communists being shot; the local police and their interactions with the local young women; her memories of some Jewish girls working as secretaries; Jews having to wear yellow stars; Jewish women and children being shot two weeks after the Jewish men; and the robberies during the war.
