A Belarusian woman, born in 1923, discusses her experiences in Mir (Grodno Oblast), Belarus before and during WWII; life before the war; the Jewish community; her Jewish neighbors; the beginning of the war; some Jews being taken away to work; the creation of Jewish ghettos; hiding their Jewish neighbors in their house; some Jews hiding in a barn in the forest during the shooting massacre of the town’s Jews; the pits where the murdered Jews were buried; and her visit to the local memorial.
