Oral history interview with Yahad-In Unum interviewee 72R

A Russian woman, born in 1937, discusses her experiences in Zhytomyr (Zhytomyr Oblast), Ukraine and Kazatin (Vinnitsa Oblast), Ukraine before and during WWII; living in military town (Zhytomyr); her father, who was a military officer; moving to Kazatin where her mother was born; the beginning of the war; the battles; wives looking for their husbands; her mother who was hiding Jews; the mass murders of Jews; a local woman collaborator who was betraying and denouncing people; a local clandestine group, members of which were hanged; and not being able to speak for some time because of the shock she experienced.
