    Interview Summary
    A Ukrainian woman, born in 1930, discusses her experiences in Kostiantynivka (Donetsk Oblast), Ukraine before and during WWII; relations between Jews and non-Jews before the war; the declaration of war and life before the occupation; mobilizations; the deportations of ethnic Germans; bombings; the attempted evacuations by the local Jews; the German occupation of Kostiantynivka; the deportation of the Jews by Polizei and Germans; a clandestine communist organization and its actions; the arrest of communists; the attempt by the Germans to reconstruct factories with forced laborers from the town; the conditions for the Jews; the propaganda newspapers; liberation, after which some locals were resentful of those who had evacuated; and the murders of Jews, communists, and sailors.
