    Interview Summary
    Stevo Novković, born in 1926 in Laktasi near Banja Luka in the former Yugoslavia, describes his escape to Kozara at the beginning of World War II and his work as a courier for the partisans in 1942; his capture by the Ustaša and removal to Gradiska camp; the treatment of the prisoners at the camp; his removal to Jablanac camp, then to Jasenovac; forced labor in Jasenovac; a machine used by Ustaša for killing people; release from Jasenovac in 1943, and continued work for the partisans.
