Ljubica Vučić, born in 1929 in Motike in the former Yugoslavia, describes the prewar relations between Serbs and Catholics in her village; restrictions placed upon the Serbian community during the war; surviving the massacre of her village by the Ustaša in 1942; the looting of her home; receiving assistance from a local Croatian family; a Ustaša celebration for the massacre of her village; and staying with her aunt in Saracice until the end of the war.
