Dušan Milaković, born in 1924 in Milakovici Ivanjska in the former Yugoslavia, describes the massacre of his village in 1942; joining the partisans; his capture by the Ustaša and imprisonment in Gradiska camp; treatment of prisoners in Gradiska camp; his removal by Germans and transfer to Zagreb; work in Austria first as a miner then as a train driver; his return to Zagreb in 1945, then Ivanjska after liberation; the destruction of his family home; and the lack of punishment for those who murdered his family.
