Oral history interview with Aleksandras S. Minkevičius

Aleksandras S. Minkevičius, born in 1936 in Šiauliai, Lithuania, describes living in the Pavenčiai sugar factory in an administrative building; a battle at Kuršėnai, including the retreat of the Soviet Army; the conversion of the Pavenčiai sugar factory into a concentration camp for Soviet and then Jewish prisoners; the cruel treatment of the prisoners by German guards; the Jewish ghetto Daugėliai; the mass murder of Jews; and local collaborators who aided in the persecution of Jews.
