Genė Miglinaitė, born in 1926 in Alytus, Lithuania, describes the prewar Jewish community of Lazdijai; the bombing of Lazdijai; the harsh treatment of local Jews by German soldiers; the roundup of Jews into a ghetto; the looting of Jewish property by German soldiers; and mass shootings of local Jews.
