Zofia Szalek, born March 14, 1930 in Chelmno, Poland, discusses living near the church in Chelmno where Jewish prisoners were kept before they were gassed; witnessing Jewish men, women, and children arrive to the site; seeing Jews loaded into gas vans and driven away; witnessing prisoners attempt to escape; and the liquidation of the camp.
