Teréz Szarvas Teszarik, born in 1932 in Hungary, describes the prewar Jewish community of Sükösd; a Jewish boy who was teased for wearing a yellow star badge; her father's work as a night watchman; her Jewish neighbors asking her father to hide valuables for them; the deportation of local Jews; the looting of Jewish owned homes; cruel actions of local guards; and returning valuables to her surviving Jewish neighbor after the war.
