    Interview Summary
    Ernest T. Gross, born on July 13, 1929 in Turţ (Turcz), Romania, discusses being deported to the Suleish Ghetto in Hungary (now Vynohradiv, Ukraine) in the spring of 1944; being deported to Auschwitz concentration camp; being selected for labor while his parents and younger siblings were killed; being sent to Kaufering III labor camp in 1944; deciding he did not want to live and getting himself transferred to Lager IV; being transferred to Dachau concentration camp but being liberated in April 1945 before arriving; the bombing of the railroads; returning to Romania; reuniting with some of his siblings; and immigrating to the United States in 1947 through HIAS.
