    Solomon Hans, born on May 9, 1928 in Crăciuneşti (Transylvania), Romania, discusses his deportation to Auschwitz concentration camp in April 1944; being transferred to Buchenwald concentration camp; doing forced labor at the Magdeburg ammunition factory; liberation on April 11, 1945; living in an Œuvre de secours aux enfants (OSE) home in France from May to August 1945; knowing Elie Wiesel; and immigrating to the United States on August 26, 1946.
