    Interview Summary
    Stanley Kessler, born on April 26, 1909 in Bilgoraj, Poland, discusses his pre-war life and education; the war breaking out when he was in Krakow for business; walking home at night from Krakow to Bilgoraj; seeing a boy shot and learning of other atrocities; arrival of the Russians; travelling via train with his brother to Polish-Russian border town of Kovel(?) in 1939; arrival of his parents later; refusing to take a Russian passport; being sent by train to Siberia for labor in a coal mine; his brother obtaining papers to join him in central Asia in 1941; living in central Asia for three years; working post war as a passport photographer in Austria; seeing crematoria in Austria; and immigrating to the United States.
