    Miriam Korely, born in Vienna, Austria, discusses her family and early life; pre-war antisemitism; attending Zionist youth group; the effect of the Anschluss in 1938; her brother leaving for Palestine in September 1938; being forbidden to attend her regular school; attending a Jewish school but being unable to speak Hebrew; her brother obtaining certificates for the rest of the family to join him in Palestine in 1939; life in Palestine; and communicating her experiences to her children.
