    Interview Summary
    Grete Reis (née Kronheimer), born in 1903 in Fürth, Germany, discusses her family; the death of her brother during the influenza epidemic after WWI; meeting her husband in Stuttgart, Germany; living in Berlin; having two sons; being widowed in 1934; the struggle to raise her two sons Dan and Max Reis; sending them to England on a Kindertransport in February 1939; the separation from her children; arriving in London with a work permit in August 1939; working as a midwife in Queen Charlotte's hospital; and immigrating post-war to Haifa, Israel.
