    Mayer Relles, born on June 2, 1908 in Skala, Poland, discusses receiving his education in Rome and Padua; living in Padua when Italy entered war; internment in Campagna and Ferramonte; serving as a rabbi in Venice from 1941 to 1943; receiving aid from the Italian underground and clergy; hiding in Milan; escaping to Switzerland with aid from non-Jews April 1944 to February 1945; and immigrating to the United States.
