    Harold Stern, born on August 31, 1921 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, discusses his life in Frankfurt; his business apprenticeship in Hoechst; immigrating to London in March 1939; internment at Huyton Internment Camp as an enemy alien in July 1940; the voyage on HMT Dunera to Australia; receiving help from the Australian Christian Student Movement and the Jewish Welfare Board; internment in camps in Hay and Tatura; joining the Australian Army in 1941; and immigrating to the United States in 1947.
