    Interview Summary
    Lieselotte Wolff (née Katz), born on November 28, 1914 in Berlin, Germany, discusses her middle class family; the effects of anti-Jewish laws; working in a trade organization in Berlin; her involvement in an underground group trying to fight fascism; being denounced and forced to flee Germany; leaving for England in spring 1937; difficulty as a “stateless” person because her father was Russian; ending up in Paris, France; receiving help from a Jewish doctor and other French Jews; working various jobs; fleeing Paris in summer 1940; getting on a transport to an internment camp (Camp de Bram) in southern France near Carcassonne; working for the Vichy commission in the camp from 1940 to 1941; and immigrating to the United States July 9, 1941.
