    Mala Geldner (née Gerstner), born on July 12, 1927 in Chrzanów, Poland, discusses her religious family; Bais Yaakov; her childhood memories of prewar life; hiding from deportations; making rubber coats; her deportation on February 18, 1943 to Sosnowiec then to Ober Altstadt; internment in Ober Altstadt concentration camp from 1943 to May 8, 1945; forced labor in a yarn factory; living conditions; liberation by the Soviets on May 8, 1945; avoiding Soviet soldiers because of the fear of rape; living in displaced persons camp in Germany; meeting her husband; and immigrating to the United States in 1952.
