    Interview Summary
    Josef Hiller, born on April 14, 1905 in ?ód?, Poland, discusses the German occupation; fleeing through Bialystok to Grodno; working in the small village of Lenin until 1941; hiding in Rajowicz from 1941 to 1943; joining the Kolpack resistance group; serving in the Polish part of the Soviet army from 1943 to 1945; fighting in Che?m, Berlin, and Warsaw; reuniting with his family in Pinsk postwar; going to ?ód?; living in Linz displaced persons camp from 1946 to 1947; immigrating to Argentina with help from HIAS in 1947; and immigrating to the United States in 1963.
